Valentine's Love List: 9 Things I Think You'll Love
To ‘celebrate’ (I use this word loosely) Valentine’s Day this year, I thought I’d share a little round up of 9 things I love right now.
This list contains products I’m obsessed with, courses I recommend for improving your relationship with money, friends and your body, plus I’ve also shared links to my love-focused content I think you’ll enjoy:
Reduce Anxiety and Relax with This Simple Breathing Technique
Feelings of anxiety and stress can stop us in our tracks.
The stress might have been building for days or months when suddenly the anxiety takes over and we find ourselves constantly worrying or feeling panicked.
Anxiety might be a part of your daily life or it could just show up for you when faced with situations outside of your comfort zone.
Whether anxiety is a common feeling for you or just happens on occasion, this simple breathing technique can be used to reduce anxiety fast and help you to feel calm within minutes.
3 CONFIDENCE BOOSTING MORNING ROUTINES YOU CAN DO IN UNDER 20 MINUTES
When I first became a coach, I forced myself to do elaborate, 2–3 hour morning routines involving journaling, meditating, yoga, visualisation and a whole host of other mindset tools.
This was great for a while but I soon realised I was spending more time prepping for the day than actually living it. I also found it hard to be consistent with such a jam packed ritual.
I even forced myself to become part of the 5am club which didn’t last long when I finally accepted the fact I’m not - and never will be - a morning person.
Now, I like to keep things simple. The first 20 minutes of the day are for me. I don’t check my phone, I don’t scroll on socials, I try not to talk to anyone.
HOW TO GET OUT OF A FUNK, FAST
I find it quite amusing that the day after I got the idea for a blog post about getting out of a funk, I wake up in a funk myself.
When I talk about being in a funk, I mean:
Feeling agitated or irritated
Feeling frustrated or overwhelmed
Struggling to make even the simplest decisions
Having a lack of direction or focus
Losing interest in anything and everything
Not knowing what to do with yourself
And the longer we’re in a funk, the harder it is to see a way out of it.
Here are my tips for getting yourself out of a funk, fast:
HOW TO FALL IN LOVE (WITH YOURSELF)
The journey to self love is ongoing.
There’s no follow this strategy, take this action, BAM, I love myself, the end.
(Oh wouldn’t that be easy)
It takes time, practice and persistence to fall in love with yourself.
But what does self love actually mean?
When I talk about being in love with yourself I mean:
FROM BEING STUCK TO SLAYING YOUR GOALS: HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Being stuck is the worst, isn't it?
Whilst it definitely is a mental thing, it can feel physically draining.
You don't wanna get out of bed.
You don't wanna switch off the Netflix.
You don't wanna open up your to do list because OMG I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.
But there comes a point where you have to make a choice: get yourself out of the mud or sink into the quicksand and disappear forever.
However appealing the quicksand may feel right now, I urge you to go for option A.
TACKLE IMPOSTER SYNDROME IN 10 SIMPLE STEPS
Imposter syndrome is common amongst social media managers and can be a huge reason for why we’re not signing the clients we want, showing up online or charging our worth.
When I started my business as a social media manager in 2017, I’d never heard of imposter syndrome.
But I was experiencing a lot of self doubt, thoughts of ‘who am I to be doing this?’, worrying constantly that the (great) results I was getting for clients weren’t good enough and when I was finding things simple and easy to do, I felt like a fraud.
